How about strawberry sorbet with balsamic vinegar?
Strawberries, strawberries, strawberries…
I’m a strawberry lover!
I love all strawberry variations, everything made from strawberries.
In June now, there are never enough strawberry recipes. I like those particular tastes for which there is no universal or unique recipe. However, I go for a change from time to time, I can’t resist and I prepare strawberries in a different way – they won’t be any less delicious for that.
Marinate fresh and just ripe strawberries in balsamic vinegar overnight. Then, add a pinch of crushed black pepper and a handful of fresh basil. The true balsamic vinegar called Balsamico di Modena, which only gets the right colour after a couple of years’ maturation in casks, goes very well with fruit and is a great match with strawberries. You’ll be surprised by the devilish taste, which feels just a little hot because of all the pepper there.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is a strawberry bomb from Angelato’s. I like to go back to it every year and I’m sure you’ll enjoy it as much as I do, now with the strawberry season at its peak.
La Dolce Vita. I’m off to Italy again.
Believe me, it’s faultless!”
